Your places stay yours. Every charge has a receipt.
HuntFish is built for people whose spots, cameras and photos are worth protecting. These are the commitments the product is designed around — and where each one shows up in the app.
Each permission is asked where it matters.
Signup asks for an email and nothing else — no precise GPS, no property polygon, no contacts. Saving privately is explained inside each feature. Sending anything to an outside AI provider asks first and names the provider. Community sharing and training contribution aren’t offered — nothing you save is shared or used to train models.
We publish the rules HuntFish owns: which sources win, how fresh they must be, how a question is routed and priced. Every answer keeps the version it used.
Location
Approximate by default (about 5 km). Precise coordinates are stored only for places you mark precise, go to a connected assistant only if you turn on exact spots for it (off by default), and never appear in logs.
Photos
Originals are immutable and yours. Every derived or shared copy has its metadata stripped. When identification needs AI, a resized, metadata-free copy is sent — not the original, not your camera roll.
Money
The server owns every rate, quote, reservation and settlement. You see the maximum first; the receipt shows exactly what ran. If something fails on our side, nothing is charged.
Rules and access
Rule answers cite the official page, its date and when we last checked. Public ownership is never treated as permission. No verified source means no confident legal answer — you get the official next step instead.
Honest states
No fake progress, weather, moon phase, percentages or citations. A feature that is not connected says so. An example on this site is labeled as an example.
Community
Your private observations never become someone else’s heatmap. There are no community reports today; if they ever come, they will be labeled as reported and never override a current official rule.
Never logged
Our servers are configured never to write these to logs: prompts, precise coordinates, tokens, signed photo URLs, payment data. Session replay is off on every private surface.
Export and delete
Export is free in Settings → Privacy. Delete your account in Settings → Account. Export produces a complete JSON archive of everything you own. Deleting your account is immediate: places, photos, plans, Scouts, conversations, connector grants and payment records are removed together, and any connected assistant loses access at once.
Connectors
A connected assistant starts read-only with no spending allowance. Original photos are never shared, and exact spots only if you allow them. Grants expire after 30 days unless renewed. Connector permissions in detail.
What we do not claim
HuntFish is not a government agency and does not decide what is legal. Official links are references, not endorsements. Our methods are versioned and replaced when evidence supports a better one — read them. Always confirm rules with the official agency before you go.
