Terms of Service
Plain terms for a plain product. By creating an account or using HuntFish.AI (“HuntFish”, “we”) you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.
1. The service
HuntFish is an information assistant for hunters and anglers. It answers questions, helps you understand photos, saves your places and plans, and runs bounded research jobs called Scouts. It can connect to third-party assistants through a connector you control. Some features depend on outside providers; when a provider is not connected, the app says so and the feature is unavailable.
2. Not legal advice, not a government agency
HuntFish is not a government agency and does not decide what is legal. Rule and access information is drawn from official sources where possible and cites them; it can be incomplete, out of date or misread. You are responsible for knowing and following the laws, seasons, licenses, tags, property boundaries and access rules that apply to you. Always confirm with the official agency and landowner before you go. Official links are references, not endorsements.
3. Safety
Hunting, fishing, boating and travel in the outdoors carry real risk. HuntFish’s suggestions about timing, conditions, water, weather or terrain are estimates from forecasts and observations, labeled as such, and are no substitute for your own judgment on the ground. Never rely on the app for navigation, water safety or emergency information.
4. Accounts
You must be at least 13 to use HuntFish (or older where your jurisdiction requires) and provide a working email address. You are responsible for activity under your account. One welcome grant of free credits is provided per verified person; creating accounts to collect additional grants is prohibited.
5. Credits and payments
Credits are prepaid units of usage (1 credit = one cent of usage). Before any paid action runs, HuntFish shows the maximum it could cost; that maximum is reserved and only the actual usage is charged, with the rest released. Receipts are available in the app. Credits are not money, are not transferable, and have no cash value except where the law requires a refund. Purchased credits do not expire while your account is open; promotional credits may carry stated terms. If a paid action fails because of us, nothing is charged. Purchases are made through Stripe, Apple or Google, whose terms also apply; refunds of purchases are handled through the provider you paid, and refunded credits are removed from your balance. Prices and the public multiplier may change with notice; changes never apply to work already quoted.
6. Your content
You own what you upload and save. You give us the limited license needed to store, process, display and back it up to provide the service to you, and to send the minimum necessary to a provider when you have allowed outside AI processing. We do not use your content to train models. You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload.
7. Acceptable use
- Do not use HuntFish to plan or carry out anything illegal, including trespass, poaching or taking protected species.
- Do not attempt to access other people’s data, probe or overload the service, or reverse-engineer safety, pricing or permission controls.
- Do not use connectors or automation to exceed the permissions and allowances you were granted.
- Do not upload content that is unlawful, harassing or infringes others’ rights.
We may suspend or end accounts that break these rules. Where possible we will tell you why.
8. Connected assistants
Connecting a third-party assistant is your choice. Its behavior, storage and privacy practices are governed by its own terms. HuntFish enforces the permissions and spending allowance you set for it; anything an assistant does with information after receiving it is outside our control.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep HuntFish available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change, add or remove features. If we discontinue the service, we will give you a reasonable opportunity to export your data and will refund unused purchased credits where the law requires.
10. Disclaimers and liability
HuntFish is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we do not warrant that information is accurate, complete or current. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Ending the relationship
You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account; deletion is immediate. We may end these terms if you materially breach them. Sections that by their nature should survive (your content license for backups already made, disclaimers, liability limits) survive termination.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which HuntFish’s operating company is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, contact us and give us 30 days to resolve it informally.
13. Changes to these terms
We will post changes here with a new effective date and, for material changes, tell you in the app before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new terms.
