Is this permission to hunt?
No. Lease Scout helps you ask. Public ownership is never treated as access. Only the landowner can say yes.
What does it cost?
$4.99 per letter, or 3 for $12.99. Owner lookup is included. Letter purchases are coming soon — they aren’t switched on yet, so nothing can be bought or mailed today. When they open, nothing is mailed until you confirm the proof.
Where does the owner data come from?
Public parcel records: free county GIS when available, then Regrid. Lookups are saved so the next person who pins that parcel gets the cached owner with a last-checked date.
Can I edit the letter?
Yes. Edit the text yourself, or tell the AI what to change (“make it friendlier, mention I’m a veteran, add my cell”). You always see the printed proof before send.
What if the letter comes back?
Undeliverable returns mark that owner record stale so the next lookup can refresh it.
Can an AI assistant run this?
Yes. Lease Scout has an MCP server and a GPT Action OpenAPI spec, so Claude, ChatGPT or Grok can look up a parcel and draft a letter with your permission.
